Shipping and Handling Information

We do not charge your credit card until your order has shipped.
Bastens.com ships using a variety of carriers which provide the most cost effective delivery solution for your location and desired delivery class.  While we primarily use UPS for most domestic orders, US Postal Service may also be used in certain situations when applicable.  Delivery times and associated shipping and handling fees are determined based on the weight of the total order and the type of service selected.  Delivery times are estimated based on the published guidelines of the selected carrier. Most orders are shipped within 24 hours.  UPS does not deliver to military addresses (APO or FPO). We apologize for any inconvenience, but if you are ordering products that ship via UPS and have a military address you will need to provide an alternate address. See shipping policy below for details on which items may ship UPS.

What is the refund policy at bastens.com?



Please understand Bastens Store is not the manufacturer, we are liquidators. Certain products which once opened, even if unused, cannot be re-sold as new. This is how we offer everyday low prices. If an item is defective, we will absolutely replace that item, however you must first get an RMA number by emailing us [click here to email us]. We cannot offer returns/refunds except where determined to be our mistake or a defective product. Please research the products and your needs before purchasing. How do I receive a full refund?

Under normal circumstances we do not offer refunds as stated above in our refund policy.  We offer exchange only. If a refund is granted, we reserve the right to charge a 15% restocking fee.

May I exchange items returned for a different product?

Currently, we are only offering exchange or replacement of the same item that is being returned due to defects. We do not exchange or refund items due to incompatibility. The USB cables are guaranteed to work with each device as listed. If it does not work as listed it may have a manufacturing defect and can be returned for replacement with same item only. Please understand Bastens.com is not a manufacturer, we are distributors and liquidators, thus how we can offer reasonable prices to you. A refund is usually processed within 3-5 business days from the time we receive the return.

Who pays for the shipping on a defective item or return shipping fees for an RMA?

The customer is solely responsible for any shipping costs incurred for returning a product to Bastens Store. We will however pay the shipping on sending a new item to you if it was defective. We know that if an item is received by a customer as defective, it is not the customers fault, however, that situation is very rare, and we believe that by offering such a wide array of products at exceptional prices, our customers will realize that in the unfortunate event a defective item is received, paying for shipping the defective item back to us is not unreasonable. Our return policy does not differ much from that of a major retailer such as Wal-Mart. If a customer purchases an item at Wal-Mart and later finds it to be defective, Wal-Mart will not credit you should you ship the package back to them. Nor will they reimburse you for your time and gas should you drive the package back. We, at Bastens Store are very reasonable and will work with any customer to ensure they are happy with their purchase and are completely satisfied from the beginning to the end. Should any unusual circumstances arise, we will do our level best to assure we resolve those issues in the best way we know how.

What is your Software Return Policy?

We do not offer refunds on any software that has been opened and where an activation code has been sent to the customer. Unlike physical goods, electronically distributed software and software licenses can be duplicated, thus making software return guidelines very stringent.

Bastens Store is not responsible for any software or system incompatibility. Please see your manufacturers specifications and consult them should you have any questions prior to purchasing any software, refunds are not issued because of incompatibility. Should you need a replacement CD or for any technical questions relating to the software you purchased, please contact the Software Publisher directly for assistance.

What should I do if an item is delivered damaged?

If the item appears to have obvious damage by UPS, immediately tell the driver you do not want to receive this package or call 1-800-PICK-UPS to submit a damaged shipment claim. If the damaged package was left or someone else signed for it, there is a grace period of around 5 days in which to file a damage claim. If a package looks suspiciously damaged, you can tell the driver to wait and open it to make sure the contents are not damaged. Should your inspection of the contents reveal they are damaged, you can refuse the package.  If the shipment was not through UPS, please contact the appropriate carrier. What should I do if an item is missing from my order?

Some of our products ship in partial orders. Because we are a distributor, the product may come directly form the manufacture.  We do this to save in shipping cost and effectively offer the lowest price possible. Please contact us and we will check on your order status.

Does bastens.com ship internationally?

Bastens.com does not ship internationally. Currently, we only ship within the United States.

What is your shipping policy?

Bastens.com prides themselves with efficient order processing and timely deliveries. Our policy is to ship all orders of  items listed as overstock received by 3:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time) the same business day. We ship via the United States Postal Service (USPS) first class mail with Delivery Confirmation for all of these orders. Our blank media, media cases and other media accessories, except labels, are shipped directly from the warehouse located in California via UPS ground or FedEx ground and will generally leave the warehouse the same business day if order is received by 3:00pm Eastern Standard Time.  Later orders will leave by the next business day.  Labels ship directly from the warehouse located in Minnesota and will leave by the next business day via UPS or FedEx ground or occasionally USPS.  If faster shipment is required, please contact Bastens.com [click here to email us] to request faster shipment and we will be happy to get a quote for you.

To calculate your shipping before ordering, add the item to the shopping cart as if you are placing the order, then enter only your zip code in the address field of the order page and click the "apply" button. You will see the shipping, tax and total for your order and can then proceed to order if you wish by filling out the rest of the information including payment method and clicking continue at the bottom of page.

UPS and FedEx do not ship to PO Boxes or military addresses (APO/FPO) (see above paragraphs for details on items shipped via these methods). Only items shipped via United States Postal Service may be shipped to PO Boxes or APO and FPO military addresses. We apologize for any inconvenience, but if you are ordering products that ship via UPS or FedEx and have a military address or PO box you will need to provide an alternate address.
